Rain teams are probably the most popular among the theme teams like trick room, sun teams etc These were the most popular in VGC 2014 and after the hyper offensive mega Swampert with swift swim has been released chances are these will be even more popular in VGC 2015. In VGC 2014 the reach to the rain teams were limited because u only had to choose from a number of different Pokémon’s Politoed will always be used but it was common accompanied by a swift swim Ludiculo or a Kingdra In VGC 2015 only the most legendries are banned with the item soul dew. Apart from that there are many other Pokémons with the ability swift swim and do well in rain.
